Join us at The Gog, North Battleford’s most intimate and unique venue, for a chance to meet Ryan Meili, NDP MLA (Saskatoon-Meewasin).  Ryan is currently contending for the leadership of the provincial New Democratic Party and this is your opportunity to show your support for a committed, articulate politician and passionate advocate for “people-based” policies. He’s an individual who is not satisfied with merely preserving the status quo--he is determined to effect real change on this province’s political scene and reinvigorate the NDP from the grassroots up.

There will be a program, which will include live music, presentations and a question-and-answer session with the candidate, where audience members will be encouraged to participate. And, of course, there will be plenty of time to engage in one-on-one discussions with Ryan, sharing your thoughts and taking the measure of the man who might be our Premier in the not so distant future.

This is also a chance for political progressives in this region to come together and discuss our priorities and decide how best our party should position itself for the next (2020) election. Looming social, economic and ecological challenges confront us and we, on the Left, must offer practical solutions, rather than bromides, along with a courageous vision of the future that is inclusive, tolerant and egalitarian.
